Kody Lostroh wins Nampa Invitational

April 6, 2009

Another thrilling Professional Bull Rider event was wrapped up, and whoever had PBR tickets for the 2009 Nampa Invitational sure saw some exciting action. #1 rider Kody Lostroh won the event, his third win on the 2009 Built Ford Tough Series. He totaled 350.75 points on four bulls, and had some fantastic rides that whoever had PBR tickets won forget. The Nampa Invitational took place at the Idaho Center on April 3-5. With the win Lostroh got a cool $38,830 for a to-date total of $214,297.34 in BFTS dollars.

“I do it because I love it!” said Lostroh, of Longmont, Colorado. “I don’t care if I am number one or 40; it’s just fun to be able to ride bulls. I take every bull one at a time.”

In the first round, Lostroh chose to ride Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Julie Rosen’s bull Mean Machine. The next day, Lostroh rode Priest Creek Ranch‘s SoulJa Boy and the choice ended up being a good one as the rider was able to get 92.5 points and won the second round, quite a thrill for all the PBR ticket holders in the stand. On the final day of the Nampa Invitational Lostroh was awarded 79.5 points for his performance riding Kaycee Simpson’s Cowboy Joe. At the start of the Built Ford Tough Championship Round, Lostroh was behind Brazilian rider Valdiron de Oliveira. For the final round, Lostroh chose to ride Corey & Horst/ Western Group’s North Star, and he ended up with 91.25 points, the hearts of PBR ticket holders, and the win at the Nampa Invitational.

The win extends Lostroh’s lead in the Build Ford Tough Series Standings to 1,016.75 over Guilherme Marchi. To date, he has participated in 17 events, attempted 47 rides and succesfully riden 32 of those bulls, giving him a ridding percent of 68.1 percent. Guilherme Marchi has also riden in 17 events, riden 29 of the 47 bulls he has attempted, good for a 61 riding percentage. # JB Mauney has riden 28 of the 49 bulls he has attempted in 17 events for a 57.1 riding percentage.

Next up on the PBR Tour is the NILE Invitational in Billings, Montana. That should be a lot of fun, so if you are in the area definitely take a look at PBR tickets for the NILE Invitational because there will feature some great bull riding moments. After the NILE Invitational, the PBR Tour moves to the Bass Pro Shops Shootout in Omaha Nebraska. That event is always looked forward to and promises to hold quite a few surprises in store for whoever has PBR tickets to the Bass Shootout.

The PBR Tour has been a blast so far this year, and that should only get better and better as we get deeper into the BFTS. It all builds up to the National Finals Rodeo, once again taking place in Las Vegas. All in all its a great time for bull riding fans. Make sure you help spread the popularity of the PBR Tour, and tell your friends. And as long as you are telling them about the sport, you might as well tell them that TL is the best place to buy PBR tickets, as their prices are always reasonable and you can get some real kickin’ seats.
